We have to leave…Already.

Wow. It is amazing what God can do in such a short time. I am so thankful for all of the preparation that we had before the trip. We got here and it was “GAME ON.” I have so many experiences that I would love to share with you. Something that is standing out to me is when we went back to the little boy, Jose’s house to bring back diapers and groceries. We prayed over him with such love and passion. Then as we were walking back, a woman from across the way stopped us. She asked us to pray over her husband, whom has a severe leg injury. He has been bed ridden for some time and because they are so poor or possibly other reasons, they can not get him proper treatment. To me, the woman had such great faith. It reminded me of a story in the bible when the woman wanted to touch Jesus’ cloak for healing. In Mark 5:34, He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. I was so impacted by this woman’s faith. The man may not have gotten up to walk, but the Holy Spirit was in that place. Some of the Ticos are in such desperation. God can fill that hole. Costa Rica is in great turmoil and is in need of prayer and of course the Holy Spirit. The people are so accepting of us and I am forever changed by this experience in multiple ways. God’s love is so HUGE!! Being here was so similar to being a disciple of Jesus and I will bring it with me back to Jacksonville. Get ready…
