Costa Rica Medical Missions-From the Field

As Cathy mentioned this morning, today was our first day of fulfilling the medical aspect of this trip. We opened up a free clinic in a quaint church that had been previously reconstructed by other missions teams this year. Although this location was last minute, we were all comforted knowing God will provide a facility that meets our needs to make the biggest impact possible. Little did we know our needs would be far exceeded. We had a very spacious sanctuary with two private rooms in the back for examinations and we made the most out of our manpower despite the numbers. There is no doubting God’s potential as he sent over 150 people to this church in need of physical and spiritual healing.

This scripture from Proverbs stuck out to me tonight, it reads, ‘In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.’ Although we came down knowing our overall outcome or mission in mind, God has been in control of HOW our mission will be accomplished.Through faith it was revealed God was using these past few days to spiritually bond this team, to humble ourselves before the cross and make a stand for Christ as we open the doors to the public!!! What an amazing experience to know there are over 150 people in Costa Rica right now who have been refreshed by the Holy Spirit through our obedience and trust in Him.

I can go on for days reflecting on all God is doing in my life…I think I’ll save that for my own journaling. To all our readers, know we are praying for you and I thank you on behalf of our team for all your support!!

Dios te bendiga,
