Singles Ministry missions trip to Costa Wrap Up

The Singles Ministry trip, led by Steve and Marlene Miller, were able to accomplish some wonderful things in the week they were in Costa Rica. The team was privileged to:

-bless a man with a brand-new wheelchair (a need that was discovered on the November medical trip and donated for that purpose)
-donate a sewing machine and supplies to a woman in desperate need of a way to make a living to support her family (“The Martha Project”)
-give out a couple hundreed coloring books/crayons (donated by Publix)
-give a school 20,000 vitamins for the children
-paint a building at the school
-clear a soccer field for the kids with machetes
-pass out 200 hygiene packs
-teach an English class and do projects with the kids in school
-pass out 250 Bibles and 400 plan of salvation cards
-move Jorge (future Celebration Church Alejualita Campus Pastor) and his family (wife and 4 kids) from their 2 bedroom home to new house… hours of cleaning and many donations later, Jorge’s family is in a liveable house that they feel was a God-promise fulfilled.

This team’s service, prayers, and hard work have left an eternal impact on the community that we, as a church, are invested in. In addition, several team members have decided to sponsor children there in order to give them the opportunity to go to school.

The IMPACT being made in Alejualita continues… stay tuned for our next missions trip… the College Life team (March 16-21).

In the meantime… keep living beyond yourself and thank you for your support as we seek to share the love of Christ throughout our world.
