A day in the life

Kristen NicoleA day in the life of a teenage missionary in Costa Rica is nothing like i was expecting. To start out our day we went to Celebracion Church Costa Rica. Last night we had gone out to the park after dark and invited a ton of drug addicts and drunks to church. At least 80 per cent of the people we invited showed up!!! Today we also cleaned out the home of a young girl named Freshie. It put everyone out of their comfort zone. In the back of the house there was this garage like room that had mud and trash soved into every corner. Cabinets were infested with roaches and spiders and nothing in the house was clean. It was hilarious to watch some of the guys scream like little girls at worms and other various surprises (especially since none of the girls really screamed) :).  I was set to work washing all the dishes and tupperware the family owned. It was amazing to see the family’s responce to their clean house. They seemed to see their house in a new light and they seemed to just glow with the fact that they had a “new house”.
