Floating on the river

Shannon RoutzahnBon dia from the Amazon.

We have made it to Brazil safely.  We arrived late Friday nite to Manaus and hooked up with our partner organization, Overland Missions. We have no luggage though- all the bags weren’t at the airport.  Delta is bringing them to us today (hopefully) in Maues before we head to the village.  Pray we get our luggage- we are going out either way but it would be nice to have it. We are truly living out the great commision, with just the shirts on our back- we are loving it!!!

We just traveled 25 hrs down the Amazon from Manaus to Maues.  I’m so proud of the team, so flexible, no complaints, very tight unity.  And the Overland team is AMAZING!!!!! We have a very strong team of 19 people here now, 3 translators, 4 guys from Overland, a few others from around the world. We are loving it…. the hammocks are like floating on air with the sound of the ocean around you. It is absolutely beautiful here, stunning.
We will have no more internet until we get back in Manaus at the end of the trip. The team plans to blog some then or once we’re back in Jax- all of them- stay tuned because we will have plenty to share.
Satan certainly doesnt want us here- but we just laugh at him along the way because he can’t stop us.
Did I mention we got to see river dolphins, and pink ones!! God is so creative.

Either way, I am super stoked about your team and I can’t wait to hear all the stories. Know I am praying for you all and look forward to seeing your faces again!! Bring back a hammock for me!!! 3. I’m so excited for each and every one of you on this team. I have had dreams since your departure of the trials and the trampulations (that’s tramping over the devil) since you all left. You are all in my prayers daily and may God work in each in every one of you and through you to perform miracles wherever you go. May the annointing flow, the Spirit heal, the Lord speak and may lives be changed all across the world in JESUS NAME! Love you guys/gals 🙂
