Yesterday was amazing. I couldn’t blog last night because we were so physically exhausted. We got up at 5:30 am to go hike to these crosses. There is a mountain about 30 min away that has three crosses at different levels, one at the very top. We started walking up the road from the bus stop (not even to the beginning of the trail yet) and the roads were so steep we were already sweating! It took us about 3.5 hours to hike up and back down the second cross. We were on slippery rocks and steep clay areas. It was tiring but worth every step. The views were breath taking. We prayed when we got to the second cross and Melissa (Shellie’s sister-in-law) actually felt led to pray out loud! She has never done that before but God gave her the courage to do so.

When we got back from the hike we ate lunch and passed out the other half of the school supplies. The Ticos are just so friendly and the kids are so lovable. They let you hug and kiss on them all you want. I tended to the babies while the mothers took their other children to try uniforms on. A little girl named Maria drew me a picture, which was one of the best presents I have ever received!

After all of that, we had church at 7pm that night! We ate dinner and walked over to Celebracion Costa Rica which is about 5 buildings down. My husband Luke, Shellie, Katrina and Wayland spoke/preached. I was very proud of my husband and of course the other speakers. After the speakers all of the chairs were cleared out and the fun began! We lined up and the music started. Their was a dance to every worship song. I am talking jumping up and down, running around in a circle, all kinds of dancing! It was so much fun. I would love to do church like that everyday! We were sweating after worship. It was so fun for me considering I love to dance.  Afterwards, we prayed for some families that were sick. Two of the children were running fevers and a man was having chest pain. We laid hands on them and prayed for healing. God is amazing. I can see him here. I have learned so much of how much He truly loves us. God is good.
