Greece Missions Team – “An encounter with Hercules”

What an amazing end to an even more amazing day!! We started in Corinth sharing in the Lord’s supper together. United in heart and spirit asking God to use us however He saw fit. It ended on a bus ride back to our hotel, sharing the same Jesus Paul preached in the 1st century. This time it was with a modern day greek named Hercules. A chance encounter, I think not. Our conversation started with him assuring us we were on the right bus going in the right direction. The conversation unfolded naturally and I was able to share with him a relationship is possible with God through Jesus. He was so receptive but unconvinced. As our ride together closed I asked him if he had ever prayed for God to make himself real. He replied he had never thought about that. When I told him I would pray for him he said “what will you pray”. In that instant God spoke to my heart, “I will pray that God reveals himself to you in a way you will understand.” He then asked, “what can i pray for you?” God is so awesome! I asked him to pray that I would meet more people like him.
He smiled, said thank you and then he was off. I picture myself in heaven one day having another encounter with Hercules. Thanks God.
