Zimbabwe Festival of Life team- Off we go!!!

Countdown 1 day until the “Festival of Life” Zimbabwe team boards the plane to do God’s work in Africa. The team is excited and ready to go with expectant hearts. We are ready to see lives changed, for God’s glory to be done! And what an awesome team we have! Let me introduce them to you. We have a team of 9 partnering up with Joyce Meyer’s medical team which includes Celebration’s own Brit Donovan and Natalie Boyd. Drumroll please……. We have representing our interns Miss Lizzie Miller (back to African again), the Hosseini’s brother and sister clan- Wade, Zeba, and Mina (how awesome they get to do this trip together!), Miss Stephanie Bush (physical therapist extraordinaire), Mr Miguel Calderon (known also as Micky’s dad), Mr. Leon Parsley (war vet and missions guru), and leading the team is myself and Mr. Johnnie Bryan (world traveler with a heart of gold).

While in Zimbabwe our team will be coming alongside a Joyce Meyers team and a Children’s Cup team to administer medical clinics, feed children, and spread the love of Christ at at one of our rural campuses called  Tsholotsho outside of Bulawayo. We will also be helping with Joyce Meyer’s huge event called “Festival Of Life” in the capital city, Harare. None other than our very own Pastor Stovall Weems will be speaking with Joyce Meyer!! What an honor and a huge opportunity to win souls for Christ! Also Pastor John Siebling from Life Church of Memphis will be representing at the festival. And look out, Jenny Huang and Ron Dubois will be over there also to help support “Festival of Life.” This is going to be a life-changing and historic event and we are so excited to be going to support Pastor Stovall and Celebration Church Zimbabwe!!

Keep a lookout for more blogs along the way, we can’t wait to share this adventure with you!!

  4. I am a third generation white Zimbabwean and am so excited about the Festival of Life. We are in such desperate need of hope, even though many of us are born again Christians we are saddened by the continual destruction. Sometimes God allows what He hates to accomplish what He loves – that’s all I hang on to and where our hope lies. I have just spent time at the conference and heard the amazing speakers – what tremendous encouragement from Joyce, Stovall, John and others and the singing from Darlene and team was so uplifting. Just what we all needed. Let us be inspired by the knowledge that we are not a forgotten nation, that we can help ourselves and there are people out there praying for us. We have learnt so much – about breaking down racial barriers, forgiveness, repenting, complacency, keeping our spiritual fervour, showing our fruit and so much more. Thank you, thank you, thank you is all I can say, from the bottom of my heart for loving us enough to spend time, money and effort on encouraging us. We love you all and will continue the good work.
I would love to hear more about John Maxwell as I hear his ministry is to leaders in business – I really feel the Lord is speaking to me in this area and I would like to become involved. Please can anyone let me know where to get more information about the work he is doing. Linda Douthwaite

  5. Hi Linda! I am SO happy you got to attend the Joyce Meyer festival! It was truly amazing! I was in tears of joy seeing the people of Zimbabwe so on fire for God!!! I am actually moving to Zimbabwe next year to work with Celebration Church in Bulawayo and other parts of the country. I can’t wait to do life there!! It is always an honor and priviledge to serve in Zimbabwe. May God bless you and hopefully we can meet at some point. I am familiar with John Maxwell- as a leader I read much of his work. May I suggest reading his book “Developing the Leader within You” I would also google his website and keep up with his work that way. Do keep in touch and check out my blog at http://www.shannonroutzahn.blogspot.com – Email is shannon_routzahn@hotmail.com
