Beneath The Waters in Northern Ireland

One of the most intriguing things about Celebration Church is that no matter what campus we visit we can walk in and feel at home. Being in Northern Ireland again has been such an adventure. This is my second time visiting the Northern Ireland campus and I have to say that is has grown leaps and bounds. In one year they have gathered 50 new people and their serving teams have expanded. More and more this extension of our Jacksonville family is seeing the power of God move in their country. I am thankful to have been a part of their first FUSE Showcase where 40 teenagers came out to a time of awesome worship and an incredible word from the Youth Pastor Andy Upritchard. It is clear that God is raising up the people in this church to far better places than they could ever imagine.

One amazing thing I want to share was being a part of a baptism service this past Sunday. On September 30th, Pastor Stovall surprised the campuses with a Acts style “all in” water baptism. This past week Pastor John Scott announced that three of the Northern Ireland team were going to be baptized. Two of the people who were to be baptized rededicated their lives just ten months ago and on Sunday stood before God and country to publicly confess their devotion to Jesus. It was so inspiring and emotional. One other was afraid to be baptized because her family wouldn’t approve…however her mother ended up coming to the baptism and after watching her daughter come out of the water there were tears in her eyes. What a precious moment. This beautiful group of people are apart of something so unique and special. What is happening at Celebration Church Northern Ireland is not normal, as we always say at home in Jacksonville, it is only by God that these incredible things can and will continue to occur. It has been an honor to be apart of such an amazing team and to watch it flourish and grow in the years to come.
